vSERV NAS Module™ Unifies the Power of Distributed Storage

vSERV NAS Module is breakthrough technology that merges file systems from multiple network-attached storage devices into a single directory view.

It is the perfect tool for NAS, attacking the challenges of distributed storage on three fronts:
  • Utilization — Even utilization across all storage devices

  • Growth — Grows storage seamlessly

  • Costs — Reduces IT time & improves overall utilization

By collecting all directory information from all NAS resources and presenting it as a single file-system, vSERV NAS Module:
  • Enables seamless growth — Add NAS devices and they become part of the storage pool and are immediately available to users

  • Allows easy segmentation of total resources — Create work groups and allocate storage with a few clicks of the mouse

  • Eliminates the myriad of share points — One share point for each work group

  • Increases system dependability — Eliminates single points of failure

  • Improves storage utilization — Move files and reallocate resources to ensure the most efficient use of all NAS devices

  • Centralizes administration — All NAS devices are configured and allocated from the vSERV NAS Module configuration screens accessed from the Microsoft Server Appliance Kit

  • Reduces administrative workload — Reduces or eliminates the need for moving files, client administration, setup, data allocation, and planning

  • Drives down TCO — Reducing IT management time and improving utilization of resources extends the storage budget

Note: vServ is the base application, with additional module applications needing it to run. For example, to run the vSERV NAS Module you will need to install vServ first and then the vSERV NAS Module.
